Dr Sue launches her campaign in Cowaramup

“To see the community hall filled with people in our campaign colours, excitedly taking home yard signs and coming up with new ideas to build this movement is incredibly motivating,” Dr Chapman said.

Independent candidate for Forrest Sue Chapman officially launched her campaign on Sunday at the Cowaramup District Hall with a gathering of more than 150 people.

The hall was full of activity as people had the opportunity to sign up to campaign activities, buy T-shirts and handmade dog bandanas, and endorse Dr Chapman with their signature.

“To see the community hall filled with people in our campaign colours, excitedly taking home yard signs and coming up with new ideas to build this movement is incredibly motivating,” Dr Chapman said.

“There is a genuine excitement and joy in recognising that we can do politics differently in the South West.”

Dr Chapman said she was grateful and humbled by the support with many of her helpers volunteering on an election campaign for the first time.

The former urologist highlighted her priorities of housing and health care and also pledged to engage in meaningful conversations with the community.
